Guidedogs Have Their Own Blog

I was very happy to come across a blog owned by Guidedogs For The Blind, which is the school I went too for my new dog Lars.

The school has 2 campuses, 1 located in California, the other located in Oregon.

When I went to train with my first guidedog, Luther, I went to the campus in California.

When I returned to Guidedogs this past November to train with Lars, I went to the campus in Oregon.

The campuses are very similar in a lot of ways, but the California one is quite a lot bigger than the Oregon one.

Funnily enough, the majority of guidedog users I know who went to Guidedogs For The Blind for their own dogs, went to the campus in California.

When I went to train with Luther, it was during the month of January, which for anybody living in California is a month with mixed messages of a summer to come, mixed with an Oregon rain storm!

When I returned this passed November to train with Lars I was treated to 2 weeks of rain, which I am told is normal for that time of year for the area.

Back to the blog, you should really check it out if you want a good dog read.

Posts on the blog discuss guidedog training, updates on puppies that are born at the California campus, and delve into guidedog issues that are prevalent to us blinkies.

Check them out here and why not bookmark them?
