Day Two Post TPLO Surgery
Lars continues to improve, on this his second day post TPLO surgery.
He is becoming more interested in getting up and nosing about, as best he can anyway with a stupid looking cone on top of his head.
He is not a fan of the cone and this is now evident as he spends a lot of time rubbing his head on furniture trying to remove the silly thing, but he can rub all he wants until next Thursday when it will come off, as long as his incision is looking good.
He’ll also come over to me when I am eating or simply sitting down doing something and put his big coney head in my lap, pushing against me as if to say, take this freaken thing off me now!
He does seem a little more interested in putting weight on his foot, than yesterday, and he is now going to the bathroom without using the sling/towel to support his back end.
He is also showing interest in getting up on my bed and or the couch, two pleasures that I used to afford him on occasion but are strictly off limits until he is much further along in his recovery. This, I have lovingly explained to Bar at least 5 times already and the day is just half over lol!
